Stremaform® formwork for construction joints
Stremaform® is primarily used for construction joints in reinforced concrete structures.
Benefits of using Stremaform® in construction joints:
- Minimises the need for falsework and formwork in difficult access locations or confined spaces
- Permits the use of continuous reinforcement between pours
- Reduces the need for highly skilled site staff
- Off-site fabrication allows for on-time deliveries and quicker erection times
- Allows for the installation of reinforcement for both sections of a two part mass pour in one operation
- Improves the quality control of joint preparation and construction
- The expanded metal allows for penetration of cement laitance thus creating a rough surface that forms an ideal base for the second concrete pour without the need to scabble
- No formwork striking
- The bond joint provides a shear strength as high as that of the monolithic concrete
- The incorporation of a metal water stop or a cage with rubber bar waterstop into the Stremaform® minimizes the possibility of misplacement of the waterstop during concrete placement and the possible risk of a watertight joint failure
Stremaflex® formwork for effective sealing of construction joints
Stremaflex® formwork for watertight structures made of reinforced concrete consist of the well-proven Stremaform® formwork with a specially coated metal waterstop. Stremaflex® therefore offers an optimum solution for the sealing of construction joints exposed to hydraulic pressure in high-quality structures. Stremaflex® has received approval for use in any construction and crack control joints.
