NOEplast textured formliner "Carlisle" design
Pecafil® VR6

Insitu concrete sea walls using NOEplast were selected as an economical and durable solution to the original design of precast units with "cast in" real-stone cladding. The client opted for the NOEplast "Carlisle" pattern - a bespoke design which was previously created for VolkerStevin when they worked on a flood alleviation scheme in the town of Carlisle. This design compliments the surrounding environment as it is similar to the local stone.

NOEplast formliners offered the following advantages for this project:

  • Virtually any design possible
  • Reusable & cost-effective for this large scale application
  • Easy to use

Pecafil® VR6 was also used to form the pile caps and beams for the new Watersports Complex. The Watersports Centre, situated along the promenade, will become a dramatic focal point for the Watersports Hotspot.
